如果译成义务警察更为合适吧？楼主，那这些义务警察是怎样招聘的呢？是否金领或白领工资级别的人又想过过差人瘾的人去做呢？又或者是在职消防员、军人、各种场所的保安员呢？谢谢发帖啦！

符合下面这些条件基本就可以报名了。老师，建筑工人，保安，银行职员...什么样的人都有。当然你自身肯定要热爱警察事务，并且执勤时间不会影响你的本职工作。有时说不定会被不喜欢警察的人吐槽一句Get a job!
What are the requirements?

At least age 17
Be in good health
Proof of good character and satisfactory background
Must comply with Zero Tolerance Department drug policy.
Able to read and write English
Be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident or authorized to work in the U.S.
Live in New York City or live in one of the six authorized surrounding counties(Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Putnam) and work within New York City
You MUST possess a valid NEW YORK STATE Driver License or NEW YORK STATE Identification Card
